The world hasn't just become wicked...it's always been wicked. The prize doesn't always go to the most deserving.



Irena Sendler

There recently was a death of a 98 year-old lady named Irena.

During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist.

She had an 'ulterior motive'.

She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews (being German).

Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids).

She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto.

The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.

During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.

She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely.

Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.

After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family.

Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.

The last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize. She was not selected.

President Obama won, one year after becoming President.

Thank you for sharing. It really touches my heart to know amazing people like Irena did/do exist in this world.

God Bless Irena, may she rest in peace and God gift her with every desire. She is deserving!

God has a better reward for her than any meaningless political "Peace Prize".

Man is the image of God.. It's only when he looks into a mirror and sees himself and a reflection looking back.... This is when he feels that the reflection looking back is worthy of praise... An Award in life meets the man's heart for fear of rejection and is said to be a reflection of that ones life.... More and more seeking the praise from man and not the seeking to be more the image of God... I say thats Ok for those that were awarded a medal for there reflection it will last a short time and then forgotten... But those that seek not for Man's reflection .... But God's Image... There reward lasts forever...

After all ... we (who choose and accept) have been grafted into Israel!

Behavior, however incidental it may be, determines whether we enjoy good health, peace and sustenance - or succumb to something less than.

Guess there is nothing Noble in the Nobel Piece prise.

I have spent so many years out of touch with the world I have lived in for 55 years. Working and then raising a family etc... none of which is a very good excuse. I am thankful that my dinar investment was used as a vehicle to open my mind and eyes to the global surroundings that have eluded me for so long. I have a unsatisfiable thirst for understanding econmics. A true heart for human suffering and a strong desire to make a diiferece in this world and now so connected I believe that I can. Thank you for this story. I will use it to keep my focus on whats important and fearless to do what is right and stand in the gap.
