IRS system was down TODAY!

A friend called me today and told me his bro in law was trying to check the status of a dinar dealer to determine if they were legitimate. He called the IRS to see if they knew anything. They said they couldn't check anything since their system was down. Has anyone heard anything about this? I am wandering if they are in the process of updating for the dinar or if this is a routine maintenance. Any info is greatly appreciated!

I would say that was just a "line". I am sure they get a lot of calls, just like the banks do.

The IRS does shut down its system periodically to update information. This is nothing to get concerned or excited about.

Wow, i can't believe anyone would call the IRS for anything - Calling the IRS for anything is like calling your worst enemy and asking them to be nice...

I don't believe that any routine maintenance on their system would be in the middle of the day. I really feel this was about some manor changes being put in place and hopefully for the rv !!!
