o On this, the dawning of the Third Day of the Messianic Era, Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing and restoration in His rays. His glory will shine for all to see. He will rise in us, His sanctified and prepared people, and we will cross over into a time of fulfillment of all His promises.
The Holy Spirit is stirring His prophets to proclaim the joyous news of the Third Day. God, Who is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, plans to tie the whole story of salvation together in a stunning way. Let’s open our minds and hearts to His plan by considering the third day events highlighted above, starting with creation:
Creation
The New Testament reveals that the Old Testament presented "types and shadows" to prefigure God’s actions in the Jesus era. Let’s read the Genesis scriptures looking for types and shadows.
…and there was morning, a third day. And God said, Let there be light in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from night, and let them be signs and tokens (of God’s provident care) and (to mark) seasons, days and years. And God made the great lights—the greater light to rule the day…(Genesis 1:13-16AMP Emphasis mine.)
God’s creation of the sun brilliantly foretold His own Son. Jesus came on the morning of God’s third "day" when he was born in a Bethlehem stable 3000 years after creation. Like the sun, which God created on the third day of Genesis, Jesus became "the Light of the world." John the Baptist’s father, Zechariah, prophesied that "a light from on high will dawn upon us." And John himself "witnessed to the true Light…" (John 1:9) The people who walked in darkness have seen a great Light," the prophet Isaiah foretold (Isaiah 9:2), and that Light came on God’s third day.
Isaiah also promised that the Messiah would be our ruler. And God made the sun (Son)," according to Psalm 136:7, "to rule over the day." We have seen that God made the sun as a sign. Indeed He did! Creation had the sign of Jesus, the Messiah, built into its plan.
Psalm 19 reminds us that God speaks through creation about His Son:
The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows his handiwork.
Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge…
In them he has set a tabernacle for the sun
Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber
And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.
Its rising is from one end of heaven
And its circuit to the other end;
And there is no thing hidden from its heat. (Psalm 19:1-3, 5-6)
God made light and called it Day, then proclaimed it a powerful symbol. Moreover, He made the sun on the third day of His creation. His word in the Bible identifies the Light and the sun with Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness. He is the Beginning and the End. Now, at the end of time, on the Third "Day" of the Jesus era, God is going to dawn a Day that will be unparalleled in its radiant Light. It will be the Day of God’s Son, the Day of Christ, the Day of Messiah.
Messiah means "Anointed One," and Jesus was anointed to restore, to heal, to set the captives free. On the Day of Messiah, the Third Day, expect to see healing and restoration. Expect to see family members we’ve prayed for set free of addiction, slavery to personal idols and captivity to sin.
The following is a prophetic word about a manifestation of God’s glory given to the author on the morning of the first day of Year 2000:
Let the Lord be King! Let Him rule over all the earth! Let His voice be heard among His people in a mighty roar of vindication and recompense. Let the earth tremble! Let the glory of our God be seen! Let there be light! Hallelujah!
The voice of the Lord has spoken. Now let it be. Let the Jubilee ring forth as bells, as trumpets. Let the Feast begin. Let our God, the Lord of Hosts, reign supreme in the hearts of men. Let the heart of God be satisfied today for the Third Day has come.
Let the Sun of Righteousness rise with healing and restoration in His glorious rays (He is the radiance of God) and let it be done according to His word spoken by ALL the holy prophets. Amen.
Mount Sinai Glory
God has given us many types and shadows to foretell the glory of the Third Day. In the Book of Exodus, God wanted the people prepared to witness His glory. He instructed Moses to have the people cleanse and consecrate themselves. Moses is a type of the Holy Spirit who has cleansed and consecrated God’s people today to prepare them for the Third Day manifestation of God’s glory.
Then the LORD said to Moses, Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes. And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. And it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings…Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire. (Exodus 19:10, 11, 16, 18 Emphasis mine.)
The awesome revelation of His majesty that Yahweh showed on the third day the Exodus story He is ready to show again in the Third Day of His Son. The following is another prophetic word:
"Oh, Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth. How majestic! So majestic! Highly majestic. Excellent!"
Yes, this is true and I will make it so in My people’s lives. My name (as presenting all that I AM) will become majestic to them for I will be revealed in My kingly splendor, even My glory—right before their eyes. They will say "This is the One Whom I have loved! This is the One for Whom we have waited. We didn’t know His beauty and His comeliness. We didn’t understand His majesty. He is holy! And He is our Beloved."
I will be revealed in glory, in My splendor, in My shining brightness, arrayed as Solomon was never arrayed, robed in splendor and majesty. Oh, My people will be amazed and awed, that the One they loved on the Cross, blood-stained and brutalized, is indeed their majestic and splendid King. Alleluia! This is coming, and soon.
Glory Comes in the Morning: Note that God’s glory descended on Mount Sinai on the morning of the third day. God made the sun on the morning of creation’s third day. Jesus arose on the morning of the third day after His cross. And God now proclaims that this, once more, is the morning of the Third Day:
YES! "Yes" is what I am saying to My people. I am hearing your prayers and answering. I am the One for Whom you have waited. (Isaiah 25:9) Let it be then, that your Lord comes in a new way, with a new Presence, for behold He makes all things new. Fresh as the morning, sweet as the dawn He comes. He comes upon the clouds, He comes as the dew and as the morning rains, refreshing and reviving on the Third Day, the morning of the Third Day, which time it is now. Rejoice! For your God is coming in the clouds, He is coming to bring rain. HE IS COMING. Amen.
The Holy Spirit has gone through the camp, as Moses did with Israel in the desert, calling us to prepare. He wants us expectant, full of faith, and ready on the morning of the Third Day. Let’s open our sleepy eyes and be alert. It’s happening now.
When people arise early to watch the day begin, they scan the horizon for signs of the dawn, looking for clears skies or cloudy weather. They wonder, "What kind of a day will this be?"
The Third Day will be a day of both God’s vengeance and His Jubilee restoration. We know clearly from the Scriptures that this Day, the Third day, will be the Day of Christ, the Day of Messiah. We are children of the light and have nothing to fear from the Day of the Lord, Who is Our Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit, Who comes to sanctify us has established us to stand in the Day. God promises, "He will establish you to the end so that you will be guiltless and irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 1:8)
For some enmeshed in the sin of the world, the Day of the Lord will come as destruction. But for His truly faithful ones, the Messianic Day calls for rejoicing, "holding fast to the word of life so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ." (Philippians 2:16)
Reign of glory: This day ushers in the reign of Our Lord Jesus Christ. He will take up His holy scepter and ascend to His holy throne to enter the fullness of His reign in the Third Day.
And he (our ruler) shall be like the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, like the tender grass springing out of the earth, by clear shining after rain. (2 Samuel 23:4)
On this Day of Messiah, Jesus, our righteous ruler, will show forth His salvation as never before. Both present-day prophets and the Scriptures tell us that Judgment is at the world’s door. God’s justice will soon and quickly bring down every high and lofty thing set up against Him and His righteousness. Babylon, the greed-driven commercial system, has fallen. (I am speaking prophetically here.) God’s people, who must live on planet earth, will probably find themselves in some tight spots. but within the disastrous situation, within the lashing and wind of the storm, He IS. He will be our salvation from every threat. Nothing will in any way harm us—if we stand in faith and believe in His character.
I will keep safe all you have given me until the Day of Christ’s return. So rest in the knowledge that all is o.k. in Me. The time to come is fraught with challenge and opportunity. I want you ready, stripped down, mind prepared and undistracted , heart solid and ready, feet prepared to run into the Day of the Lord. Hear Me! It will be a great adventure. Heed Me: I want you prepared. Trust in Me despite the circumstances, no matter how desperate, and see the salvation of your God.
Every crisis is wrought with victory. Every challenge is seeded with opportunity. Be of good cheer! For I have overcome the world. Now is the time to really and truly, with all your heart, trust in Me.
Restoration Glory: In the midst of what seems to threaten disaster, God will be at work healing and restoring.
The Third Day is a day of restoration. What have you lost? A loved one? The wholeness of your personality? Your purity? Your integrity? Come unto Me. Really come, frankly, earnestly, humbly, and I will restore. How I restore is up to Me. But trust Me to restore.
The Third Day is a day of intervention, divine intervention. Salvation as soon as the problem arises. Deliverance while you are falling into the pit. (Don’t think I bring these things on. I don’t. Your sin and foolishness cause them—your independence. But I will rescue you AS the disaster is occurring.) Salvation will come quickly from your God. You will experience it.
So go on knowing, understanding, recognizing and perceiving that nothing can in any way harm you. Nothing. "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them ALL." Prepare your heart with this information that in the evil day you might stand.
Throughout the Bible, God’s word affirms that His Day has a two-pronged thrust. It is both a time of vengeance and a time of favor—depending on where you stand with Him. The sun is made of fire and it can burn as well as cause fresh grass to spring up. Summer 2000’s fires, destroying thousands of drought-damaged acres in the American West, speak warning.
For behold the day comes that shall burn like an oven, and all the proud and arrogant, yes and all that do wickedly and are lawless, shall be stubble. But unto you who revere and worship My name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings. (Malachi 4:1-2)
The Son’s healing and restoration may come while we’re in a bitter place. The Israelites left their Red Sea miracle behind to walk three days to a desert watering place—only to find the waters bitter. But in that bitter place, Yahweh gave them a remedy—Moses placed a tree into the water restoring its quality. (This pointed ahead to the cross of Jesus.) In the place the people called "Marah" (bitter), Yahweh gave them a new name for them to call upon and trust; I am the Lord who heals you." Yahweh Ropheka.
Judgment is appearing with burning and smoke for the Day will burn like a furnace (Malachi 3:20) and no one will escape its heat. (Remember the summer fires in the American West.) But for you the Sun of Righteousness, another kind of burning and heat, will arise.
Do you know what this means? Yes, you are experiencing the dawn of the new day, the Third Day, the glorious Day of the Lord. Now go thy way today with My blessing knowing that things will not stay the same. You need to know this, to be prepared, steady when it happens, and not shocked. I am begging you to know this. Don’t be depressed. See the opportunity, the opening into people’s lives and hearts. Go for Me; go there to teach them, steady as a Rock.
Despite desperate circumstances, we can hold steady, unruffled and undisturbed, because our God will be present as Savior, Restorer and Healer.
Behold I do a new thing springing up fresh from the Word. It is a magnificent thing: The Third Day.
The Third Day is something new, something unseen on the earth before. The Third Day is resurrection and restoration. Listen to this: I am restoring all flesh. Yes! Anyone who will come to Me, that is, truly come to Me, I will heal and restore. This means you and others.
Really come to Me as a Person and really ask Me honestly and earnestly and frankly for healing. I will give it. I AM He Who heals you. Avail yourself of Me.
Light of Glory: The fact is, we have absolutely nothing to fear. We stand at the brink of a clear, shining day. As the dawn spreads, His Light will increase until the full Light illumines everything. revealing the threats against us as sham. The Third Day, the Day of Christ, is the perfect day.
But the (uncompromisingly) righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more (brighter and clearer) until (it reaches its full strength and glory) in the perfect day. (Proverbs 4:18 AMP)
We will rejoice in this day.
This is the Day that the Lord has made! Let us rejoice! (Psalm 19:4) and be glad in it! Yes, this is a Day to rejoice with excellent gladness and brimming-over, long-lasting joy. For look what the Lord had done. He has made Light and called it "Day" so that you who are in the Light need have no fear of the coming Day of the Lord. He separated light and darkness. They are still separate, although the Light can penetrate and overcome darkness until finally there is no night, as shown in the Book of Revelation. (Revelation 21:23) The Lamb, the Light, shines all the time to light up the New Jerusalem
The prophet Joel predicted that the sun will be darkened and the moon will fail to give its light on the Day of the Lord. Also, Acts 17:20 says, "The sun shall be turned into darkness…before the great and awesome day of the Lord."
Sounds scary, doesn’t it? But the glory of the radiant and splendid Son of God will floodlight the spiritual scene so that the natural light will be diminished as an inferior light. When we enter a room illumined by a single candle and snap on the lights, the candle light fades. The radiance and revelation of the Light will diminish all other light.
The moon will be disgraced and the sun ashamed for the Lord of hosts will reign on Mount Zion in Jerusalem and before His elders gloriously. (Isaiah 24:23)
The sun shall no longer be your light by day…but the Lord will be your everlasting light, and God your glory. (Isaiah 60:19)
The Lord of Hosts is Jesus. He is the Lamb Who lights up the New Jerusalem. And He is the Sun of Righteousness Who rises with healing in His wings. ("Righteousness" here means "victory" and "triumph in restoration.")
Third Day Crossing
On a notably prophetic "third day" Joshua took the Exodus people from the desert to the banks of the Jordan River, a crossover that speaks of going from a dry and barren place to a green land of promise. A key element in God’s instruction to Joshua lies in the command to "Prepare!" This is a command we must heed today.
Then Joshua commanded the offering of the people, saying "Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare your provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan to go in to possess the land…’" (Joshua 1:10-11)
The people followed the ark of God’s glorious presence and stepped out to cross a raging Jordan River. Its torrent backed up all the way to Adam (is God making a point here?), a town well upriver from the crossover point.
The Holy Spirit is telling the prophets that a time of fulfillment has arrived, a time for the fulfillment of all God’s promises to individuals and all God’s promises spoken through all the holy prophets. (See Acts 3:19-21)
God always asks us to participate in His mighty works. We can participate or miss out on the Third Day manifestations of Messiah. The Scriptures show us three ways to prepare our hearts for what is coming. Preparation includes:
Submitting our daily lives to the sanctification process of the Holy Spirit
Obedience
Staying awake and alert
Sanctification: We can learn by example from Joshua and the desert people who God instructed to "Prepare!" In three days, God would take the Israelites in to possess the Promised Land. Then the Lord said, "Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you." (Joshua 3:5)
This is the command we must heed today: Sanctify yourselves. No amount of human effort will accomplish this consecrating; all we can do is yield to the Holy Spirit who is the Sanctifier. That is enough!
Obedience: Another third day event occurred in the life of Jesus—the wedding at Cana. (Jesus, who is our Bridegroom, transformed plain water into excellent wine at a "third day" wedding—a prophetic act!) A key to His accomplishing the water-to-wine miracle lies in the trust of His mother, Mary, and the obedience of the servants.
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana of Galilee and the mother of Jesus was there…His mother said to the servants, whatever he says to you, do it. (John 2:1,5)
Mary quietly trusted in the character of her son. The servants quietly obeyed the strange command. With their human participation, Jesus accomplished His first miracle—on the third day.
Staying awake: Not only the frenetic pace of our lives but also the dulling familiarity of God’s promises through His Biblical prophets distract us from noticing what the Almighty is doing right now. He is intensely present in our lives and dynamically bringing world events together to fulfill all that His Old and New Testament prophets have spoken. Yet even though He is active in our midst, we sit like slugs, our minds lethargic and our perception dulled.
After Jesus’ death, the disciples on the road to Emmaus trudged along beside the risen Savior, unable to recognize Him. They pondered aloud His crucifixion. They exclaimed to the One who is the Resurrection and the Life, "Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things occurred." He was right there, and they missed it! Jesus probably shook His head when he lamented, "Oh, foolish ones and slow of heart to believe everything that the prophets have spoken!"
Jesus also repeatedly informed His disciples that He would suffer crucifixion and rise from the grave. "They did not comprehend what he was telling them," Luke 18:34 reiterates. "They understood nothing of these things."
Will we be the same way? God is telling us right now that a major God-event is about to happen. Will we still manage to miss it?
In the Joshua crossing of the Jordan, God is prefiguring the crossover in the spiritual promised land, the time of fulfillment of all His promises. The Word of God tells us that Jesus will return when all that has been spoken by all God’s prophets is fulfilled. (Acts 3:19-21) One of these many compelling prophecies occurs in Hosea:
Come let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but he will heal us…After two days he will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up that we may live in His sight. (Hosea 6:1-2 Emphasis mine.)
A people prepared, sanctified and obedient, awake on the morning of the Third Day would satisfy the heart of God. Why did Mary Magdalen achieve eternal distinction as the first to see the rise Christ? Because she rose very early on the morning of the third day and went out to see Him.
Third Day Rising
As we rise to greet the morning of the Third Day, the Light will rise in us. Jesus will shine in us. Isaiah prophesied it when the Holy Spirit said through him, "Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. (Isaiah 60:1-2)
Jesus, the Light of the world, has similarly declared to us, "You are the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14) The apostle Paul said, "…now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light. (Ephesians 5:8) And the Old Testament prophet, Daniel, looked into the future to view our day and said, "And the teachers and those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament." (Daniel 12:3)
Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness, will rise and shine in His people, His flesh body, on the Third Day.
This Is the Third Day
Behold, He comes! He is riding on the clouds, clouds laden with rain. His recompense is with Him.
What does that mean? When you see the "clouds," look up; your salvation is at hand. And what is His coming but His coming in His people? And what is His appearing but His appearing in the flesh, i. e. in His Body? His Body again conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost and formed and shaped by His Spirit in knowledge, wisdom, counsel and might. Know ye then, peoples of the earth and children of Mine, that behold!--He comes. Don’t miss it, His appearing (parousia), because it comes "not as you expect."
Now go! Go and tell all the good news. Tell them I am coming on the Third Day, just s surely as My dead body was resurrected and arose, just as surely as Ezekiel’s dry bones came together, I will arise IN MY PEOPLE. "Arise and shine, for the glory of the Lord has risen upon thee." (Is 60:1) And who is His glory but His Son, the radiance of the glory of the Father? Go and tell them that the Third Day is the Day of My rising in My people. AMEN!
This is the day that delights the heart of the Father. The prophet Zephaniah paints a word picture of Father God dancing "as on a day of joy." (Zephaniah 3:17) The Day of Christ is the day of the Father’s delight.
Let us together go forward into the Day, the Third Day and the Day of the Lord. It is dawning now with clouds and darkness, but it will be a Day of Great Light. The coming of and manifestation of My Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. It is He Who reveals the radiant light of the Father of Light. He will arise in you and shine as the sun, illumining the Day of the Lord so that there is no need of the actual sun. He will shine. "Shine, Jesus, shine," the song says. So He will. Amen.
"Then your light shall shine like the dawn." (Isaiah 58XX ) Revelation will be forthcoming even in the spiritually dull. Knowledge of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. Amen. I have spoken and it will be done.
The Alpha and Omega prefigured the coming of His Son, the Light of the world, when He made the sun, on the morning of creation’s third day. Then He sent His Son, born on the morning of history’s third day. Christ the Messiah arose on the morning of the third day following His death on the cross. And now, following the divine pattern, Christ will arise in His body, His people, on the morning of His era’s third day.
Behold, he comes! Riding on the clouds, His reward with Him. What does that mean? He has come; He is coming; He will come.
He has come in the flesh as in His life on earth. He is coming, being manifested in His people, His body, "in the flesh" today. And finally, He will come again in the flesh of His manhood, but also the glory blaze of His divinity to smite evil and restore the earth to a garden once again.
This is His purpose and His aim: to come. Your purpose and your aim is to ask, praying, "Come Lord Jesus."
We are both and sign of and active participants in this awesome plan of God. We are a sign according to God’s promise to put signs in the heavens and the earth of His great Day. We area sign in the heaven, that is, in the spiritual dimension. The Bride of Christ has formed in the earth and shines a great spiritual sign pictured in the Song of Solomon, "fair as the moon, clear as the sun." She looks just like her Savior, the Son.
We, the Bride, are participants because, just as God did in Genesis, we are speaking to create light and speaking to divide day from night. The word of God is coming out of our mouths to create the day, even the Day of Christ.
What am I saying? I am saying that by faith God framed the worlds by His word. "And God said." He spoke in Genesis to create order, harmony, light and life. Now My people are saying and dividing light from darkness and causing the light to overcome, so that we will see the progression to complete, all-Day light. That is why this is a good Day, because you are children of the light. Amen
That is why the enemy of your soul wants to discredit My act of creation and cause disbelief, to discredit Me and My goodness. I will not allow this. Watch and see My goodness and love as this era winds up and becomes a New Day.
The light of the Third Day will increase, like the full power of the sun magnified at midday, until every lesser light pales.
And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it, the splendor and radiance of God illumines it and the Lamb is its lamp. (Revelation 21:23)
The God of Love, Who IS and was and ever shall be, speaks, saying I AM God. LOVE IS GOD! I reign over all. Is that not good? Love reigns! Love rules. Love is in charge. Oh, the outcome is good, very, very good. If you only knew! The goodness I showed in creation will be the goodness I show in the finale, for I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.

The heavens declare the glory of God;
And its circuit to the other end;

0 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
