Question needing an answer

I bought into the Iraqi dinar back in 2005 when I would assume it was little known around the world. Put it away in my lockbox and really forgot about it. Then in March of this year, I heard a friend mention it in conversation. My question to anyone is: What is the big deal about this being a secret to the general public. If the dealers are so intent on selling their dinars with discounts, forum ads, etc. why don't they just take out ads in the WSJ, NY TIMES, USA TODAY, and advertise it and get it sold? Does making this investment a back room secret make it any more creditable or likely to RV?

Great questions freebird!!!! I look forward to some prudent answers. I also was told this was a hush hush thing and not to spread it around but then was amazed at all of the Dinar websites such as this one.

Probably the opposite.

Good question. Most mainstream financial guys say stay away from it. I'm in it for the long shot.

There is the idea this was for the elites. If so, that might explain it. The fear that if everybody gets into it, it could ruin it for the 'in crowd.' That makes us elitists!

Because the second this makes its way onto mainstream airways, the price of the Dinar will drop. The Dinar sellers are selling a foreign currency at 40% MARKUP!!! WHO DOES THAT?

The dinar has been mentioned by some local news agencies. Its considered a 'get rich quick scheme' by the news clips which can be seen on youtube.

Also, I wouldn't be shocked if some of these gurus and dealers have many skeletons in their closet (with respect to Dinar).

Just imagine if the Dinar was given more exposure, Tony Renfrow (and others like him) would also get exposure. How many people do you think would come out and try to put him in jail. I would imagine, many!!!

Thanks guys for your insight to this question.

I do buy into Alchemist reply that most mainstream financial guys call it a long shot (but they have invested in it privately LOL) and that it was set up for the elites. Openmind's response saying that some dealers don't want the spot lite on them is true, but there are creditable dealers selling too. No sure if the price would drop if they went mainstream, maybe; but they would quadruple their sales too. Great reasoning on the why we keep this "close to the vest'.

I really liked it better in 2005. JMHO

When I bought a mil from the bank it was around 1060 and their buy back was 860. I didn't have the wire fee or fedex fee, but it wasn't to far from the dealers, and the notes were circulated.

I guess in the larger scheme of the RV, at perhaps1:1, you get $998,940.00 net back and I only get $998,880.00 net YOUR BUYING!!

I am glad that it has been a secret, can you imagine 300 mil people all millionaires, who would serve my fries at Mcdonalds?????..................... Plus anyone you tell that does not buy in becomes a threat to you and your family!!!!!!!!! Know that is something to think on, who did you tell and did they buy in ?? maybe it was to good to be true? I have never seen anyone do something that was to bad to be true have you ??

I'm still kicking myself in the but for selling out before it RV'd, but at least I got something. Too bad you didn't take the chance when I told you. You had the same chance as me. Sorry I can't help you, I don't have any more left."

Man I know things are tough all over what I have if sold would not buy or pay my Electric bill, unless it rv's then I can change my life.. Sorry Alchemist I hope you can still buy more..

I think there are wayyyyyyyyy too many people now that have invested more than they should. (Myself included). I know first hand that the intel providers make it hard not to put down "a little more" on each "you will have the best weekend to remember". I've learned now to forget the rumors and just wait.

Getting back to my original question, (Why is this a back room investment) it seems logical that if it is a mainstream selling event, it may be less likely to RV, while keeping it underground, it will RV for a small chosen group like us. I really have a hard time understanding why anyone cannot understand that the current Iraqi dinar must be revalued to match their country's assets.

I call!

P.S. I will tell no one after the RV. Just will explain that an investment I made in 2005 came through. (Think oil well)

The banks are sitting at 00.000 for 130+ currencies..... I believe it
is actually 142 currently. This has been ongoing for 2+ weeks and quite
honestly amazes me.... but lets think this through, obviously we cannot
state that because the banks are at 00.000 this means RV in 24 hours or
whatever time frame.

My hunting, fishing & drinking buddy, bought in. Told his investment gal she just laughed. The next time, months later asked him how the IQD was working out, he just smilled and said not yet, but maybe someday. She answered, well "WHEN IT HAPPENS" bring in your millions and we can reinvest for you.

He told this story over a dinner and drinks with eight IQD holders, no one with less than 5 mill. IQD, and the other seven all yelled at once, why would you give it to her after she laughed at you?

Moral of the story, some time that last laugh is the best.

As to why the dealers do not advertise in the manstream media, it could be very simple, they are just too cheap.

My Brother told me not to buy in that he has never seen any money that was worth more than the usd except for the euro and some others that he could not remember and that this sounded to good to be true.. and I always say that I have never seen any one do something that is to bad to be true have you.. well I have found out for myself that he really didn't know all that he was talking about , I would love to rub this in his face a little you know..

When I mentioned this investment to a couple of my customers I was surprised that 2 of them replied that they had uncles that became millionairs in the 90's when the Kuwait Dinar RV'ed. Validation is always a good thing.
