Totally out of place

Concerning this post.....BULLDOG75 747 JET,440 OVEN: 12/10/10 12:27PM CST.

I find it difficult to believe the comments in this post. For men that call themselves Christians, I am ashamed. To begin with, their reports are ambiguous as "it may rain next week, Than again it might not". You see thiss way every day or week is so fluffed that specifics are never alluded to, no matter what happens they can say, see that's what I meant about my 747 flight at 35 thousand, and at 440 passengers , and turn on the oven,blah blah blah. I seriously doubt english to be a first language as so many statements are butchered between use,use of conjunctions, and language flow. Add to that they give an intel report that asks for "pretty young women" to join there "mile high club" A direct slurr implying SEX above 5000'. Only an unbeliever or foreigner would use terms like that. I am embarrassed by you and for you and your ignorance, or your crass out of place dirty inuendos. Shame on you. by the way the BIBLICAL definition of a prophet is 100% accuracy, and prophecies in that time were ery specific.And false prophets were stoned to death.[/size]

I totally agree. My exact thoughts when I read it just now I was very disappointed. It totally damaged my faith in them. They tore down everything with one post. I just hope they don't come back and say that they were hacked as they have said in the past. I just will not believe them. Very dissapointed and hurt

It could also be in reference to a party or celebration at a mile high.

The mile high club is meant to keep the normal passengers from the non-normals, LOL, the so called upper class. In my opinion that comment was meant as a joke, a joke that really is on going, but some what in this forum a little over the top, since this forum was created for more a cleaner thinking. AJ

The Denver Airport has a mile high club and it costs to join it, to get in the door, it is upstairs from the rest of the shopping, bars and restruants. AJ

It was a preacher that doesnt know the first thing about flying a plane....

It was an honest mistake, since he does not think in GUTTER terms and meant nothing by it....

Its EVERYONE else that seems to want to put words in his mouth... or make something out of it that its not....

Boy! And to think I've been around the world literally...not figuratively speaking by some perverse definition; what was I thinking? Most flights are well above a mile in altitude, under that is reserved mostly for crop dusters,cessnas and choppers.

Seems we have another "Cainsian" incident in which the speakers are adjudged guilty under someone's own definitions which may or may not be universally known and accepted. What is a mile to some may be well above the gutter where it apparently lies for others.

I used to wrok out of the Denver Teck center back in 97 and flew in and out on a weekly basis since I lived in Washington. I was looking for a certain section and went up stairs to find the club. Of course I was met at the door asking me for my club membership card. Not a member cannot come in is what she said. AJ

You know folks, I just went back and re-read the post that started all of this and saw no mention of the mile high club. Some jokes about giving the ladies rides, but the words mile high club did not appear anywhere.

I worked with an old carpenter who lived by the adage measure twice, cut once. Maybe we should all take a lesson from that and read twice, post once. Just a thought.

The crass terms have been removed, without an apology. And no one blamed Okie. He still demands respect. The post was made by BD,claiming to repeat what Okie said and I don't buy it. To say I didn't know what it means is to admit you continually post thaings you are not quakified to post. If you don't don't know what you are talking about, than don't talk about it. Okie would never have posted such comments or condoned them. I'm glad my comments forced you to remove them. tens of thousands of military pilots and civilian flight crews know exactly what it inferred, even if some sweet naive unexposed, little old lady in Denver did not. The term is derogetory and has been around since fliying in the 40's.

Well, guess I'm a dummy! I must admit, I did not see any mention of a mile high club, but if I did, I would think it meant exactly what you thought it meant. I'm 61 years old and thought nothing about it, other than guys taking a break and kidding around...silly me!! A party in the sky after RV!!

I guess if I payed for a site, I would figure that I can say whatever I want to say and those that don't want to hear it...stay away...without comment!! All I hope is that the 440 and 747 stuff is true!!

I truly appreciate all that the OOM team does, and thanks for not being a pay site!! Oh well come RV!!

Right here at the end someone left the door unlocked at the funny farm. Seems as though a few (can't think of a politically correct word for them) people have taken one too many hits off the negative pipe and are unable to either read, or it could be they are reading things into what others have said? I don't know but jeez, everyone calm down. We have all been here long enough to have seen the good the bad and the ugly. We are too close to the end to let satan in to mess with your head. Yes we all are waiting and waiting wishing for the magic answer that never seems to come so we need to blame someone or something. One word, if you know it it is simple. It's called "Faith". Use it and all that energy you just used to scold someone for something you may or may not know anything about will be used to keep happiness in your heart. This is a good site, don't let your mind steer you wrong. If you really feel that way and have solid reference to your concern by all means post it but make sure 1st. We want the positive here not the negative.

My question is , "What ever happened to plain english"? What exactly is all of this silly crapola about anyway? If Bulldog has something to say, why can't he just say it in simple, understandable words that were created for this purpose. He may think it is funny but I see absolutely no humor in all of these riddles.

Frank used to do these riddles all of the time and he became known as "The Riddler". The only difference is that Frank's riddles were a little more intelligent and thus harder to decipher.

I am smart enough to know what he is saying and if I am smart enough to know what he is saying, then 98% of the readers understand so why go to the trouble of trying to be cutsie? It ain't funny!

And while I am at it, I want to say this. I am a believer. I pray on my knees every night and thank the Lord throughout the day. However, I resent Bulldog's every paragraph use of religion. I think it is done more for attention and keeping himself on top of the pile more than for any other reason. I think it diminishes the word of God to constantly use it to gain attention.

OK, all of you sheeple that always use the same old worn out phrase, "If you don't like it here why don't you go somewhere else" I say, no, I like it fine here. I just happen to have a mind of my own and can think for myself and can form my own opinion. You should try it sometime.

First, thought this thread was locked by Miske yesterday. Maybe it should be again.

Second, there is no need to threaten to ban someone for stating they are offended by someones language or comments. Just recognize that it maybe was offensive to that person and it was an off color remark that should have been retracted (and was!) And then MOVE ON.

This thread has turned into something bigger than the comment in question. Everyone has their side on it and thats what makes America great, we can all have our own views and NOT get in trouble for it. Wink

I say lock it and go on with our day.....
