in my bank this morning and learned of this fact.your first acc as you know is insured to 250k but if you open a joint acc with one of your beneficiaries it will carry insurance to 500k and this is not repeat not double dipping.if you have two kids or grandkids you can open an acc with each and have 500k insur on each acc.hope this helps those concerned about insurance.

I am going to tell my kids to get going and have lots of grand children.
