Baghdad / NINA / - The financial expert, advisor in the Cabinet, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, confirmed that the recent developments in the local market have led to a broad government movement, and perhaps urgent legislation will be issued to support the poor.

He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that the 12/1 disbursement of the total actual expenditures for the year 2021 stipulated in the effective Financial Management Law is not sufficient to meet the emerging and expected cases in prices that affect the standard of living of the poor classes.

Saleh added that the legislation of the law will include expanding the number of those covered in the social care network and fundamental improvements to the ration card system.

During the last two days, the local market witnessed an unprecedented rise in oil and flour prices, which led to widespread anger and popular rejection./End 3
