Baghdad / NINA / - The Ministry of Finance announced the submission of a draft law to support the poorest groups.

A ministry statement said, today, Saturday, after the parliament session held last Monday, Finance Minister Ali Abdel Amir Allawi presented an official proposal to members of parliament that includes a government bill to support the poor and the weak in the current global financial crisis to help vulnerable groups in society, including increasing social protection allocations. And allocating sums of money to improve the ration card system and allocating sums to support youth projects in addition to allocating sums of money to improve pension salaries for retirees and families of martyrs.

The minister confirmed that the draft law will be presented through the official contexts of the Council of Ministers in the coming days.

According to the statement, the Ministry of Finance expressed its hope that the bill would be passed through the House of Representatives to achieve the goals of supporting the poorest segments and reviving the economic situation./ End 2
