Baghdad / NINA / - Member of Parliament, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, confirmed: "Changing the dollar exchange rate is a matter for the government, not a single ministry."

Al-Sudani said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ): "The issue of changing the exchange rate is related to the issue of economic reforms or the white paper, which was one of its terms to change the exchange rate."

He added, "Today, the Prime Minister and the relevant ministers were supposed to attend to discuss the matter in all its aspects, because the matter is not related to one ministry."

He continued, "We have many comments on it, and we said from the beginning that this matter will not be done except with the Infrastructure Authority and the requirements for supporting industry and agriculture and controlling the ports in order that external parties do not benefit from the matter."

Al-Sudani indicated that the change in the exchange rate negatively affected millions of Iraqis, and the new government is concerned with this issue in all its aspects./End 3
