Baghdad / NINA / - The economic expert, Saleh Al-Hamashi, expected: "The approval of the current year's budget will not be before the next July or August."

Al-Hamashi told the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ): "The approval of the current year's budget is accompanied by the formation of the new government so that the government can submit it to Parliament for discussion, and I think that the government will be formed after the third month."

He added: "The parliamentary discussion of the budget will continue for at least three months, meaning that the approval of the budget will be in the sixth or seventh month, and this is not feasible as it is a half-year budget."

He explained, "The budget will be around 160 trillion Iraqi dinars, and this will increase the deficit in it."

Everyone hopes that negotiations to form the next government will begin quickly in order to finish approving the current year's budget within the Council of Ministers and submit it to Parliament for approval.
