The former deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Fadel Al-Fatlawi, confirmed, on Tuesday, that the delay in forming the Iraqi government will greatly affect the approval of the budget and investment and service projects, while he expected their approval in the middle of this year.

Al-Fatlawi said, in a statement to the "Information" agency, that "the differences over the choice of the prime minister are still pending, and the issue of delaying the formation of the government will negatively affect the approval of the current year's budget."

He added, "The 2022 budget will likely be approved in the sixth month, and this will greatly affect service and investment projects, employee salaries, and regional development."
