Data from the Indian Customs Department showed that Iraq was India's largest oil exporter in November, with India's crude oil imports rising over the past month.

According to data seen by "Economy News", "Iraq remained the largest exporter of crude oil to India last November, at a rate of 639,000 barrels per day, up from 498 thousand barrels per day in October, followed by Saudi Arabia at a rate of 444,000 barrels per day." down from 491,000 barrels per day in October.

She added, "The UAE ranked third, Kuwait ranked fourth, Mexico jumped to fifth, while Nigeria fell to sixth place after it was fifth in October, while the United States fell from fourth to seventh."

The data showed that "India's imports of crude in November rose 9.2% on an annual basis to 4.32 million barrels as refiners increased their production to meet the increasing demand for fuel."

She pointed out that "Last month, India boosted oil imports from the Middle East to reach an average of 2.82 million barrels per day from 2.48 million barrels per day in October, while imports from the Americas decreased to 696,000 barrels per day from 735,000 barrels per day in October." First, imports from Africa also declined.
