Iraq and Japan discuss bilateral relations between the two countries

Baghdad / NINA / - Ambassador Abdul Karim Tohme Mahdi Kaab presented a copy of his credentials as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Iraq to Japan, to the Under-Secretary of the Japanese Foreign Minister Takeo Mori, at the building of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that during the meeting, they discussed the distinguished bilateral relations that unite the two friendly countries, where the Japanese Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' support for the embassy's efforts and overcoming any possible obstacles, adding that the ministry is also ready to support the ambassador to perform the tasks assigned to him.
For his part, the ambassador praised Japan's supportive stances for the political process in Iraq and reconstruction efforts, stressing that the possibility of developing relations between the two countries is very great to serve the interests of both countries and the world./End of 9
