Baghdad / NINA / - The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced that Iraq has been removed from the black list of discrimination in workplaces, after taking quick and appropriate measures.

The Director of the Department of Labor and Vocational Training in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Raed Jabbar Bahed, stressed the necessity of activating the role of inspectors in implementing the effective labor law, pointing to efforts to develop the capabilities of labor inspectors by including them in development courses organized by the International Labor Organization.

He added, during a regular meeting today, Thursday, with the staff of the Labor Inspection Department, that "the implementation of the labor law depends on the efforts made by the inspectors, because the real tasks of the inspector are to check workers' wages, working hours, closings, layoffs, women's rights and combating child labor." / End
