Iran's exports to Iraq this year will reach $9 billion

Baghdad / NINA / - The head of the Iranian-Iraqi Joint Chamber of Commerce, Yahya Al Ishaq, announced that the volume of exports to Iraq will reach about $9 billion until the end of the current Iranian year (ends on March 20, 2022).

Al-Ishaq said, according to the Fars news agency: "In recent years, Iran's exports to Iraq ranged between 8 to 12 billion dollars."

He added, in the past seven months, the value of Iran's exports to Iraq amounted to 5 billion and 500 million dollars, explaining: Despite the various issues affecting the field of exports to Iraq, but looking at the export conditions this year, studying the conditions of competitors and the prices of exported goods, It is expected that Iran's exports to Iraq will increase by about 8 to 9 billion dollars until the end of the current Iranian year (ending on March 20, 2022).

Al Ishaq attributed the growth of the country’s foreign trade by 43% in the past seven months compared to the same period last year to the improvement in the conditions of confronting Corona in the world.”

He said: “The main challenges in the country’s economy are inflation, livelihoods and trade, adding: Neighboring countries have About 1,200 billion dollars of import capacity, and depending on local capacities, we can export up to about 300 billion dollars to neighboring countries, but currently our exports to these countries range from 20 billion dollars to 30 billion dollars.” / End 2
