Iraq lowers the price of crude oil for the Americas

Baghdad / NINA / - Iraq has reduced the price of its crude oil to the United States of America.
Basra Light crude will be sold at a discount of $1.15 a barrel in October to buyers in the Americas, compared to a regional benchmark, according to a price list from the state-run Iraq Oil Marketing Company. This compares with a slight discount (15 cents a barrel) for the same crude in September.
Basra crude, exported to Asia, fell 4 cents, or 0.05%, to reach $73.69, while Basra Heavy crude rose by $0.46, or 0.69%, to $67.31.
All crudes in OPEC rose, as Saudi Arabian Light crude scored $74.11 a barrel, Iran Heavy Blend recorded $68.35, UAE Murban blend $73.08, Algeria's Sahran Blend recorded $73.21, Nigeria's Bonny Light recorded $72.15, and Angolan Girassol. $72.63.
Yesterday, Tuesday, Iraq decided to reduce the official selling price of Basra crude to its customers in Asia during the month of October, down $1.40 from the previous month./End 8
