Baghdad / NINA / - The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed the coverage of the financial deficit rate in the Federal General Budget Law 2021 approved by the House of Representatives last March, which amounts to about 30 trillion dinars.

Member of the committee, Representative Ahmed Al-Haj Hama Rashid, said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ): "The rise in international oil prices generally leads to covering the deficit rate in the federal general budget of the Iraqi state."

He added, "There is no financial deficit in the General Budget Law 2021 currently," noting that "the government has set a planned deficit in the budget law, accompanied by the adoption of the price of a barrel of oil in the budget at $45, and it is currently sold at more than $70," stressing that "this increase It will cover all the deficit sections in the budget law."

And about the obstacles to the exchange of petrodollar allocations to the oil-producing governorates, a member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee clarified, “The petrodollar amounts can be revolved to the governorates with obligating the central government to spend these allocations, as they will be addressed in the next year’s budget.”

The House of Representatives voted on the budget for the current year 2021 at the end of last March, then the Council of Ministers decided, in its session held on April 20, to authorize its president to appeal to the Federal Court with a number of articles of the General Budget Law, where the Federal Court decided, last July, Postponing the date for appealing the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal year 2021, to last August 24. / Ended 5
