Parliamentary Finance to / Nina /: Next year’s budget will be postponed to the next session / Expanded

Baghdad / NINA / - The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed the fate of the draft federal budget law for the next year 2022, coinciding with the approaching date of the elections on the tenth of next October.

Committee member MP Ahmed Al-Haj Hama Rashid stated, in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ), that "the generally accepted context with the end of the mandate of the legislative session will depend on the budget sent by the previous government, provided that the new government adopts this budget, as happened in my budgets 2018- 2019 during the government of resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi.

He added: “If the current government finishes drafting the draft federal budget law 2022 and its technical procedures according to the Financial Management Law, the draft law must be sent to the House of Representatives in the middle of next October,” noting that: “In the event that the general budget is sent and there is no House of Representatives It will be postponed to the next session.

He explained that "Parliament will dissolve itself on October 7, according to the decision of the House of Representatives, so it is not possible to imagine the arrival of the draft federal budget law before that date." / End 5
