Baghdad / NINA /- Minister of Oil, Ahsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail, affirmed the keenness of the government and the ministry to develop the oil and gas sector and increase the volume of investments in clean and renewable energy projects in cooperation with specialized international companies.

And a ministry statement quoted Ismail during his participation in a video meeting with the American Chamber of Commerce in Houston, as saying
that: The ministry has set in its plans and priorities to provide the appropriate investment environment for international companies wishing to work in Iraq, especially in the sectors of gas, clean and renewable energy, infrastructure development and improving the environment.

Ismail indicated that: The meeting included representatives of American companies and the Ministries of Energy, Commerce, and the US State Department, as well as the Iraqi ambassador in Washington.

The Minister of Oil added that: The meeting comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and discussing cooperation mechanisms for current and future investment projects in the field of oil, gas, and clean and renewable energy./ End 3
