Today, Monday, the Integrity Commission announced the launch of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.
A statement by the authority received by Al-Iqtisad News stated that it "launched the National Integrity and Anti-Corruption Strategy for the years (2021-2024), which was previously approved by the Council of Ministers under Resolution No. (181) on 6/6/2021.
He added that "this strategy is one of the requirements of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which Iraq joined in the year 2007, and it is an advanced step in this field, as it entrusts tasks and duties entrusted to all state institutions and sectors, and then committees measure the level of commitment of those institutions and sectors to those tasks, and then evaluated.
He continued, "The strategy provides wide opportunities for cooperation between the regulatory agencies, the three authorities, and various state institutions and sectors, with a focus on activating participation in the process of diagnosing corruption phenomena and developing alternatives and treatments, as well as providing wide opportunities for training and developing the cadres of those institutions and sectors affiliated with the strategy in cooperation with international bodies. ".
