Baghdad / NINA / - Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi met with the Chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Democratic Senator Bob Mendes, and the Committee's Managing Director, Republican Senator Jim Rich.

During the meeting, according to a statement by Al-Kazemi's office, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest.

During the meeting, Al-Kazemi stressed his aspiration to build partnership relations between Iraq and the United States of America, and to develop the level of cooperation in various security, economic, and cultural fields, and in the fields of energy, health, and the environment./ End 2
