STATUS OF THE RV THIS PERIOD

The CBI was VERY specific.

They said “the re-education process would be via television, the main stream news media as written articles and on the CBI website.
It will include a description of the new lower denominations notes, what they look like and most importantly the security features.
Also, they will list the coins and the rates of them.
They will also talk of the new rate and conversion process”.
This is how it will all work.

Shafaq News/ Mazhar Muhammad Saleh, the economic advisor to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, stressed on Monday, not to rely on oil prices because they are unstable, to change the dollar exchange rate against the Iraqi dinar.
Saleh told Shafaq News Agency, “The dollar exchange rate is fixed and there is no change in it, and any increase or decrease in the exchange rate in the market from the specified price is due to the process of demand for the currency.”

He added, “If there is a change in the exchange rate, this is due to the improvement in oil prices in the long run,” stressing that “oil prices are not fixed and may rise or fall during the coming period.”
(This is a short article but not easy to understand.
What I believe Saleh is saying is that they should take the dinar off the de facto peg to the dollar as it is fixed and dependent on oil prices.
We know the only way to do this is to reinstate it back on FOREX, put it in a basket of the 5 other currencies and get off the sole peg to the US dollar and then to float it.
This way it will not be so subject to oil prices alone.
This should have been done years ago and Iraq would not be in the situation they just experienced.

If oil prices drop again and a crisis arises again, Iraq may not make it next time.
We can only say “Thank God that they had Kazemi at the helm when these crises hit.

THE IRAQI PRIME MINISTER REVEALS THE NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS TO ASSASSINATE HIM

Baghdad today – Baghdad: Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi revealed that he was subjected to assassination attempts.
Al-Kazemi said, in a televised interview, which was followed by (Baghdad Today): “I have been subjected to three assassination attempts and I am not worried or afraid.”
He added: “I was offered the position of prime minister more than once.

If I had not accepted the position, we would have witnessed a civil war as a result of the collapse that was taking place.”

AL-KAZEMI TALKS ABOUT IRAN’S DEBTS AND THE FILES OF HIS VISIT TO WASHINGTON AND CONFIRMS: THE CROWD IS A YOUNG INSTITUTION

The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi announced, on Sunday, the existence of a mechanism to pay the debts owed by Iraq in favor of Iran, while confirming that the completion percentage reached 85% in the file of the electrical connection with the Gulf countries.
The Iranian debts are sums of money owed by Iraq since the imposition of US sanctions on Iran in 2018, payable in return for providing the Iranian side with gas and power lines.

Al-Kazemi said during an interview with the Saudi “Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath” channel, that “Iraq is working on the electrical connection with the Gulf countries and has been able to complete 85% of it so far,” stressing that “the electrical system will be protected after providing additional protection.”

Al-Kazemi is visiting the American capital to meet a new government team headed by Joe Biden, who has a long experience in dealing with the Iraqi file.
