A member of the Strategic Planning Committee, Mohamed Shi'a Al-Sudani, said on Wednesday that the Social Security Law will advance the private sector.

Al-Sudani stated that "the Ministry of Labor has prepared a draft labor law according to the latest standards, whether the standards are international or from the Arab Labor Organization, according to the official news agency" conscious.

 He added that "the retirement and social security law for workers in the private sector is one of the most important laws for the labor sector," pointing to the "inclusion of workers in the informal sector, which is estimated at 5 million, who work in shops, taxi markets, workers in companies and restaurants and who work for themselves." .

Al-Sawadni explained, “The Committee for Follow-up of the Government Program and Strategic Planning approved that this law should be among the package of reforms adopted by the House of Representatives,” noting that “this law since 2017 witnessed complexity and disruption due to the lack of clarity of the law and its integration with the retirement law for government sector employees And the second time because of opinions, which led to his delay this period. "

He continued, "The Social Security Law represents an important basic pillar in addition to the Labor Law in 2015 and this law would advance the private sector, explaining that" the passage of the Security Law will provide benefits and guarantees for all workers in the private sector, including the equivalent in the government sector. "
