Representative Abbas Aliwi, head of the Parliamentary Youth and Sports Committee, attended on Monday 24/2020 the match of our national basketball team in front of his Indian counterpart at the Al-Shaab Stadium in Baghdad, in the presence of a large public.

Representative Aliwi praised the success of the Basketball Association in establishing the match with the India team in Baghdad, in a positive indication for the teams of various games and federations to follow the example of the Basketball Association in influencing the Asian federations in order to resume playing in Iraq.

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Youth and Sports Committee said that the painful loss of our national team against its Indian counterpart in the Asian Basketball Qualifiers will be an opportunity to review performance, overcome mistakes and start to achieve positive results in the upcoming matches.
