Baghdad - news

Analysts at the "ING" Research Company confirmed today, Monday, that hitting American interests in the Middle East would lead to a major disruption in oil supplies.

The analysts said, in a recent research note, according to foreign media, "The greatest uncertainty with regard to the markets now is how Iran will respond to this attack."

They added, "While it is clear that the developments of events put American interests in the region within reach of danger, it also increases the risks of disrupting oil supplies in the Middle East, whether by disrupting the Iranians' oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz, or by attacking the energy infrastructure of US allies in the region." ".

It is noteworthy that the price of future contracts for Brent crude for March delivery increased by 2.1%, recording the level of $ 70.04 per barrel, while the price of futures contracts for American "NYMEX" next February delivery increased by 2.0%, recording The level of 64.19 dollars a barrel.

And US President Donald Trump has threatened to impose sanctions on Iraq, the second largest producer in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), if US forces are forced to withdraw from it.

Iraq had earlier called on other US and foreign forces to leave its territory.

Trump also said that the United States "will respond against Iran" if Tehran responds to "killing Soleimani."
