US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that the United States has just spent two trillion dollars on military equipment, noting that the country remains the best ever, in a warning to the Iranian regime that has vowed to attack American interests.

In a Twitter Tweet, Trump warned Iran that if it attacked an American base or any American, Washington would use its "beautiful new" military equipment without hesitation.

Trump vowed to target about 52 Iranian sites, noting that the strikes would be "very fast, and very strong", as he described, in the event that Tehran considered attacking American interests.

Trump threatened, on Saturday evening, that the United States would strike Iran more powerfully than any strike it faced before, if Tehran responded to the assassination of Soleimani.
"If they launch another attack and I strongly advise them not to do so, we will hit them more aggressively than they ever did before," Trump wrote in a tweet.

The US Department of Defense announced that, under "directions" from Trump, the US military "took decisive defense action to protect American personnel abroad by killing the Quds Force commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, who is listed on the US terror list."
