Baghdad - news

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday addressed the fire in Iraq, saying, "This is your time!"

Trump said in a tweet on Twitter: "Trump: For these millions of people in Iraq who want freedom and who do not want Iran to control them, this is your time!"

Trump's comments came after he broke out in front of the American embassy in Iraq, earlier on Tuesday, mass demonstrations in protest against the strikes launched by the United States, last Sunday, to the sites of the "Hezbollah Brigades" of the "Popular Mobilization", which are Allied with Iran, on the borderlands of Iraq and Syria, and killed at least 25 people.

The protests soon turned into clashes between demonstrators and security forces after the protesters attempted to storm the headquarters of the American diplomatic mission and burn them to checkpoints in its vicinity, resulting in the injury of at least 62 people.

The US President accused Iran of being behind the "attack" on the embassy, threatening the Islamic Republic that it would take "full responsibility" for these events.
