Baghdad - news

Today, Thursday, legal expert and political analyst Amir Al-Daami confirmed that Iraq will be subject to the seventh item and international guardianship, in case the breach of constitutional periods continues.

Al-Daami said, in a statement to "Al-Akhbariya", that "calls by lawmakers and political parties to choose a candidate by consensus quickly supported by all political parties come from the door that there are constitutional periods that should not be violated on the grounds that violating the constitution may affect the political process and threaten its legitimacy before the international community." And put Iraq under the seventh item. "

He added: "Since Iraq is free from the position of head of government and there is a caretaker government only, and there is a case of demonstrations and paralysis that hit a number of regions and governorates, so they do not want to violate the constitutional period towards the appointment of a legitimate head of government and not a caretaker government."

As for the international trusteeship, Al-Daami explained: "It comes if the constitutional periods are prolonged or violated, the international community will view the Iraqi government as unrecognized and meet to return Iraq to the seventh item, and thus the guardianship will officially return to Iraq."

And about the possibility of declaring a state of emergency in Iraq, between the expert, Al-Qawouni, that it "is subject to the approval of Parliament and it is not within the powers of the President of the Republic or the ministers without referring to the House of Representatives, otherwise it cannot happen."
