Economy News _ Baghdad

Two commercial sources said, on Wednesday, that the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) sold two million barrels of Basra Light crude, the January load, at a premium of about 90 cents a barrel above the official selling price through an immediate tender.

The two sources said the buyer was likely to be China Unipec.

They added that the shipment was shown for download from January 29 to January 31.

Prior to this, the December light Basra crude was traded at a premium of $ 1 to $ 1.50 over the official selling price on the spot market.
