Oil Minister Thamer Abbas al-Ghadhban said on Sunday the ministry is seeking to involve Iraqi companies in the gas sector to develop the gas industry.

Al-Ghadhban said during a meeting with a number of owners of liquid gas plants, according to a statement to his office received "Economy News" a copy of it, "the importance of supporting the Iraqi private sector comes in the priorities of our work in order to open a great work prospects for the Iraqi capacity is deactivated," noting that "the Ministry sought to involve Iraqi companies in the gas sector in order to give them an important role in the development of the gas industry and improve the level of services provided to citizens.

Ghadhban explained that "the directives of the ministry aim at maximizing the role of the Iraqi private sector in many areas, and that the ministry is working to overcome all the problems and obstacles that hinder the work to achieve this goal." ".
