Baghdad / Nina / The Committee on Culture, Tourism and Antiquities discussed with the head of the Tourism Authority of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities tourism investments and how to activate them, and ways to increase financial revenues to support the state treasury.

The President of the Council, Samia Ghalab, and its members, while hosting the President of the Tourism Authority Hamoud al-Yacoubi, the need to pay attention to the reality of tourism through the holding of workshops in preparation for a general conference in the House of Representatives adopted by the Committee to develop the reality of tourism in the country.

The meeting discussed the reasons for the decline in revenues from 2014 and the future plans of the Authority and the increase of tourism institutes and colleges and hotels and the announcement of investment projects in order to provide job opportunities for the unemployed and lift this vital sector from the recession.
