Economy News _ Baghdad



The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, on Monday, announced its plan to be implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to establish marketing complexes for the unemployed.

Labor Minister Bassem Abdul Zaman said in a statement seen by Al-Eqtisadiah that his ministry had coordinated with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to set up marketing complexes in vital commercial areas in Baghdad and the provinces to operate some 16 factories that have been inactive for years to attract the unemployed. To work and employ them within these factories as well as to encourage local production in the country, as well as the development of revenues of the pension and social security fund. ”

Abdul-Zaman added, "It was agreed with the Ministry of Industry to operate the factories that stopped working," adding that "technical and coordination steps will be started in order to invest factories and productive companies belonging to the Ministry of producing industry."
