MP Uday Awwad called on Sunday to hold the Foreign Ministry accountable for repeated violations of Iraqi sovereignty.

Awad said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, a copy of it that "the Iraqi Foreign Ministry must be held accountable for the repeated violation of Iraq's sovereignty by the Americans."

"The Foreign Ministry is in a state of deep sleep and does not represent the Iraqis," he said.

US Vice President Mike Pence visited Anbar's al-Asad base in Anbar on an unannounced visit and met with US soldiers there and congratulated them on the occasion of Thanksgiving .

Which was considered by some politicians that this visit is a breach of Iraqi sovereignty being undeclared in addition to that he did not arrive in Baghdad to meet with officials in the Iraqi government.
