KUWAIT: The value of certificates of origin for Kuwaiti non-oil exports rose by 11 percent in October compared to the same month last year, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said on Thursday.

The Kuwaiti ministry said in a press release, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that "Iraq tops the list of the most importing Arab countries for Kuwait's exports, followed by Jordan, Algeria, Lebanon, Yemen, Egypt and Tunisia, while the UAE ranked first in the Gulf, followed by Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman and finally Bahrain. "

"The number of certificates of origin for exports to Arab and foreign countries amounted to 1901 certificates worth 16.9 million Kuwaiti dinars (about 55 million US dollars) last October, compared to 1503 certificates worth 15.2 million dinars (about 50 million dollars) in the same month last year." .

She added that the number of certificates for Kuwaiti exports to Arab countries, excluding the Gulf Cooperation Council, reached 482 certificates worth KD 6.3 million (about $ 20.7 million) against 73 certificates worth KD 2.7 million (about $ 8.8 million) to foreign countries.

She pointed out that "the number of certificates of origin for Kuwaiti exports to the GCC countries amounted to 1346 certificates worth 7.8 million dinars (about 25.6 million dollars) last October."
