BAGHDAD / NEWS:
Security sources reported on Sunday evening that two rocket-propelled grenades landed in the vicinity of the Green Zone in central Baghdad, coinciding with the continuing anti-government protests.

Security sources said that the first rocket landed in the waters of the Tigris, while the second exploded near a playground opposite the Green Zone.

The sources pointed out that the incident did not result in casualties, noting that elements of the security forces went to the sites of the fall of the shells.

In turn, two police sources told "Reuters" that the incident did not result in injuries or significant damage to buildings in the region, which houses the headquarters of government agencies and embassies of foreign countries.

Since the beginning of last October, the Iraqi capital and the southern and northern provinces of the country have witnessed mass protests against the deterioration of living conditions and the growing unemployment and corruption.
