Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said on Tuesday that mistakes in the country had not been radically addressed.

"The demonstrations are seeking to deal with the accumulations before 2003 and after that, they were stored in the Iraqi body," Abdul-Mahdi said as he presided over the cabinet session on Tuesday.

"Many economic, political and social mistakes have not been properly and radically addressed," he said, adding that "the constitution can be amended."

"Many political practices based on constitutional provisions must be corrected," he said.
