The Secretary General of the International Federation of Muslim Scholars Ali Mohiuddin Karag Daghi, on Monday, the protests in Iraq, "a revolution against injustice and tyranny."

"The revolution of the great Iraqi people is a revolution against the injustice and tyranny that has corrupted the country and the people," Qaradaghi said in a tweet on Twitter.

"It is a revolution against the interference of foreign countries, a revolution against corruption, which has squandered 600 billion dollars of wealth, a revolution against poverty, hunger, poor food, water and medicine in the land of good."

Since the beginning of last month, Iraq has been witnessing mass protests against the deterioration of living conditions and growing unemployment and corruption, and demanded participants, the resignation of the government.

Peaceful rallies quickly turned into clashes between protesters on the one hand, and police and military on the other, killing more than 250 people and injuring 11,000 others since the protests began.
