Ali al-Bayati, a member of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Iraq, said Monday that three demonstrators were killed and 150 wounded during the Baghdad demonstrations.

Bayati said in a brief statement: "The position of the Iraqi army was honorable today in the protection of demonstrators and reduce casualties in Baghdad."

Earlier Monday, al-Bayati said that "three martyrs were among the demonstrators and more than 150 wounded (between demonstrators and members of the army) as a result of the demonstrations today," in Baghdad.

The commander of Baghdad operations, Lieutenant General Qais al-Mohammadawi, on Monday (November 4, 2019) accused (persons described as "engineers") of being behind the incident of Ahrar Bridge in the capital, while warning that banditry "is illegal, and harm the demonstrations with demands Legitimate. "
