Iraq inaugurates a "solid cut" for trade with Syria

Iraq is working on the rehabilitation of a bank completely destroyed by the terrorist organization "Daesh", to open soon for trade with Syria through the current border crossing between the two countries.
In a statement to Sputnik news agency, the mayor of the Iraqi Qaim district with Syria, Ahmad Jidyan, announced that "the rehabilitation of a branch of Al-Rasheed Bank, in the district, west of Anbar, has begun to deposit a tax and funds for the entry of Syrian trucks into the country." ".
He explained that "the bank's branch is completely destroyed, within the city of Qaim, which is about 300 meters from the border crossing with the Syrian city of Albukamal.
"The bank has only a non-destructive wing, which is currently being rehabilitated, for the strong fortune by which the amounts entailed by the entry of trucks from Syria into Iraq, tax, and others are deposited."
Gedian revealed that the opening of the bank's wing, very soon, noting that the only place where the funds will be deposited in the entry and exit of trucks currently crossed because the availability of large funds only through the fortification.
He pointed out that the existing district of the border between Iraq and Syria, at the end of his speech, pointed out that "the work to rehabilitate the wing of the Rashid government bank, in the city, began since last month."
Among the reasons for the delay in the resolution of entry and exit of commercial trucks between the two countries, through access to the decision issued by the agreement between the Iraqi and Syrian sides, which stipulates that Syrian truck drivers must consult the Iraqi embassy, in Damascus, to obtain a multilateral visa.
"The decision also applies to Iraqi truck drivers to check with the Syrian embassy in Baghdad to obtain a multilateral visa to allow them to cross through the port, as well as Syrian trucks."
