US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said she expects to hear public hearings on the removal of US President Donald Trump in November.

"I think the public hearings will be in November," Pelosi told Bloomberg news agency on Friday.

The hearings of eyewitness testimony behind closed doors will continue as long as they are "fruitful," and there is no specific timetable.

Pelosi added: "We have not made any decisions on whether to isolate the president," and did not rule out the continuation of the investigation until the year 2020, the year of the new presidential elections.

Pelosi dismissed Trump's suggestion that his telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zielinski, who triggered the investigation, was "perfectly wrong."

The US House of Representatives voted on Thursday in favor of launching the public phase in the issue of the removal of President Donald Trump. If the House of Representatives votes in favor of the indictments in the case, the Senate will have to approve them with two-thirds of the votes to remove Trump from office. But the likelihood of this scenario seems small, given that the Republican Party has a majority in the Senate, and did not support any Republican deputy decision to start the public phase of the investigation in the House of Representatives.
