Iraqi authorities lifted the ban on social media on Wednesday.

Users of social media have noticed that the blocking of the sites has been lifted and that these sites are being used without the use of blocking programs.

It is noteworthy that the Iraqi authorities blocked social networking sites on the second of the month of October, after the start of demonstrations in Baghdad and a number of provinces on the first of this month.

Earlier, Amnesty International called on the Iraqi authorities to "end the illegal ban on access to the Internet and social media."
