The leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr, warned against the government to involve the Popular Mobilization Forces in a clash with the people, while urged to carry out strikes, private and public after the sit-in and demonstrations.

Sadr's warning came hours after the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Council, Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, and Asaib Ahl al-Haq leader Qais al-Khazali confirmed that the PMU was ready to stand against the "sedition" that aims to destroy Iraq and its achievements. Referring to the protests and the accompanying burning of government and party headquarters.
