According to the Egyptian Center for Thought and Strategic Studies, it is ISIL leader Abdullah Qardash who will succeed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State terrorist organization, who was reportedly killed in a US raid in Syria in the past few hours.

Qaradesh was born in 1976 in Tal Afar, west of Mosul.

He has a bachelor's degree in Sharia from the Imam Azam College in Mosul, and has been a star among terrorist organizations since 2003, where he served as a "general legitimizer" of the al-Qaeda terrorist organization.

He was previously detained in the prison "Bucca" in the province of Basra; where he met Baghdadi, and then assumed the position of "Public Security Bureau" in Syria and Iraq.

He was the minister of "booby-traps and suicide bombers" within the organization, and was a close associate of Abu Alaa Al-Afri, former deputy Baghdadi, and is classified as one of the cruelest and fiercest leaders of ISIS.

An official source at the Pentagon, the killing of the Islamic State terrorist leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, in a US raid in Syria, according to the channel "Extra News", citing "Newsweek."
