Baghdad / News

Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi announced that the government will make cabinet reshuffles next week away from partisan quotas.

Abdul Mahdi said in his address to the people, "The government will adopt a plan to reduce the salaries of some grades, and that the reduction will include officials up to the fourth degree of presidencies, ministers, members of the House of Representatives and special grades, agents and managers to reach in the upper cases by half to not exceed the highest salary and allocations ten million JD per month. "

He added, "We support the formation of the Supreme Judicial Council in order to prosecute those involved in corruption, and we will apply the law of parties immediately."

The prime minister stressed that "the resignation of the government at the moment and without an alternative means to leave the country in chaos."

He called on the demonstrators to express their views in a peaceful manner.
