The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government Masrour Barzani, on Thursday, announced the allocation of funds to modernize the infrastructure of the region.

"Modern infrastructure is the foundation of a modern economy, so we announce today that 500 billion dinars ($ 420 million) will be allocated for roads, silos, power lines and water pipelines," Barzani said on his Twitter account.

"The goal is to build a solid foundation for a stronger and more prosperous Kurdistan."

These projects will be implemented in stages and include the entire Kurdistan region, and will provide thousands of jobs in the region.

In the framework of the day in the province of Dohuk in the presence of Prime Minister Masroor Barzani laid the cornerstone of bridges on Barzan Street.
