Baghdad / News

Deputy Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi must be held accountable after corruption has quadrupled in the Iraqi state, Nineveh province deputy said on Thursday.

Jubouri told "news", "Parliament should not approve the resignation of the Minister of Health, but to attend himself and speak to the people who stole the money of medicines and treatments and who threatened you from the gangs of parties."

He explained that "the government has appointed a new minister of health until the moment did not come to Iraq, the new health minister Jaafar Allawi, aged over 75 years does not exist in Iraq and may not proceed from the ground up."

He added that "Abdul-Mahdi came to someone who has been outside Iraq for 48 years and is outside Iraq. Yes, he is a specialist of diabetes and a good doctor, but it is not administrative.

"The government is a failure and must be held accountable, not only for the blood of innocent demonstrators, but for the corruption that has become fourfold in the Iraqi state," he said.
