The Kut Investigation Court issued an arrest warrant for Wasit's deputy director of anti-criminality, Colonel Walid Salem Rahi Al-Oqabi, on charges of killing protesters.

The court issued an arrest warrant in accordance with Article 405 for the murder of demonstrators in the Jaafaria area.

The top religious authority, Ali al-Sistani, has given the government two weeks to respond to the demands of the demonstrators and the investigation to uncover those responsible for the killing of demonstrators and bring them to justice.
