The US embassy in Baghdad on Wednesday deplored the use of violence against demonstrators, while urging a "de-escalation of tension."

The US embassy in Baghdad , in a statement seen by Alsumaria News, said it regretted the use of violence and urged to ease tensions.

She explained that she continues to monitor closely the recent protests, noting that peaceful demonstration is a fundamental right in all democracies but there is no room for violence in demonstrations by any of the parties.

"We are sorry for the lives that have been lost and offer condolences to the families of the victims, wishing the speedy recovery of the wounded security forces and protesters, calling on all parties to renounce violence while restraining."

And experiencing different parts of the capital Baghdad , as well as its (Liberation Square), angry demonstrations since yesterday evening and renewed this morning to demand reform.
