US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Wednesday that the attack on Saudi Aramco factories was not carried out by the Houthis but an Iranian attack, describing the attack on Saudi oil facilities as a "war action."

The US Secretary of State, upon arrival in Jeddah, that "there is no proof" that Iraq is the source of the attack on Saudi Arabia.

He stressed that the Houthis claim that they carried out the attack, but "this is not true," noting that "fingerprints" Iran on the attack. He also said that "there is no proof that it comes from Iraq."

Saudi Arabia has made clear today that the attack, which targeted on Saturday, two plants belonging to the oil company "Aramco" was carried out with the support of Iran.

Saudi Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki told a news conference in the capital Riyadh that the attack did not originate from Yemen but from a location in the north of the kingdom being verified. Maliki did not specify a specific location as a source of rocket and aircraft launch.
