Nineveh province MP Mahasen Hamdoun said on Thursday that financial and administrative corruption and lack of supervision have delayed the implementation of reconstruction and service projects in Mosul (Nineveh Center).

"The province of Nineveh has received more than 200 billion Iraqi dinars for ongoing projects 67 billion to restore stability, including the municipalities of Nineveh and the municipality of Mosul and the Nineveh Provincial Council," Hamdoun told the Pasnews correspondent.

She added, "Mosul has not yet witnessed a large reconstruction process despite the disbursement of these funds by the central government of the province of Nineveh, whether in service projects or the reconstruction of government buildings, and achieved very few percentages."

Hamdoun accused local officials in the province of failing as well as not to pursue and follow the corrupt.

Indicating that "there are more than 400 projects between service, health, education and other projects are still under implementation because of administrative corruption."
